5th Trip
San Carlos Sonora Mexico May - June 2012
We needed to get back to this wonderful place we had a great weather on this Labor Day Week, perfect for Sailing, we had a chance to anchor in a little place called "El Acuario" means "the Aquarium" this place is a little cove ideal to swim and snorkel around, as this is nested inside three little hills and prevents the winds coming from south or north to hit allowing a perfect place to anchor and play around.

4th Trip
San Carlos Sonora Mexico July 2011
We had the fortune of spent a full week in San Carlos Sonora Mexico, this place is amazing!!! we had very good winds although it was a little bit hot and the the levels of humidity very high, The good part is that we were just right next to the water and at 78 degres was just right, This place has many little coves that are perfect for snolkeling arround and explore the reef life of the sea of cortez, We did not had a chance to explore all the coves, but definetly is a place to return and keep exploring.

3rd Trip
Lake Pleasant AZ April 2011
Just weekend at Lake Pleasant North of Phoenix, very nice winds (10 to 15 knots).Sailing in Lakes (dam) is kind of tricky due to the wind shifts coming out from the shadow of a hill to another, sometimes you have no wind and all of the sudden you have a shift in direction and the speed of the wind, so it is a good place to learn sailing skills

1st Trip
San Felipe Sea of cortez December 2010
We get to the Marina in San Felipe, this is a small marina, located 200 KM south of the border in Mexico,
the People there treat us really great, they actually helped us to set up the Boat and lounched it in to the water.
At first I was a little afraid because I got a few drops of water infiltrating from the thru hole in to the cabin, I was so worried at first, but turn out to be a loose screw that I overlooked, a half turn tight it up and the rest of the 3 days were great.
This was the first time my family and I slept on a boat, we thought it was going to be a rough night due to the rocking of the waves, but turned out to be really a good night.
The rocking of the waves actually allow us to fall a sleep faster. As long as you do not look outside, we did that for a little while and we started to get dizzy.
The Kids were really happy we really had a good time watching movies on a DVD player, (God bless that great DVD player!!!!).
Next day we had high winds about 20-30 mph, they caught us by surprise becasue the the forecast was for only 15 mph winds, fortunately we were less than a mile away from the marina. We got a little scared at first due to this being the the first time we've ever sail this boat.
Looking back now we see that that was a great opportunity to test the boat close to its limits.
I was really surprise of how well the boat handled, we were able to go over the theoretical hull speed of 5.5 knots it was really responsive.
While in port we had the fortune of meeting a couple with a bigger boat as neighbor (See on the background of this picture), its name Forbes and Cameron, a Canadian boat that made a journey from Victoria Canada, This boat being a lot bigger than us helped us and protected us from the waves made by the night strong winds (40 to 50 Mph) and High tides from San Felipe.
